Teacher Recruitment App
I had the opportunity to work on an exciting project during my college time with a start-up recruitment app company. The project, which spanned four months, was a collaborative effort between Courtney Coleman, Quynh-Anh Hoang, and I. We aimed to help the client bring their start-up idea to life and prepare it for a pitch.
Problem Statement
"Teaching enthusiasts passionate about childcare and early development may not be aware of all the available teaching opportunities, leaving childcare and early development centers understaffed and struggling to provide quality care for children. This lack of awareness can also lead to missed opportunities for these individuals to pursue their passion and make a meaningful impact."
As the UI designer on the team, I played a pivotal role in the project by creating the wireframes and UI design for the mobile app. This involved working closely with the team to understand the client's vision, identifying user needs, and developing a functional and visually appealing interface.
Wireframes
Our goal for the app is to simplify the application process for users. The app features three primary tabs: search, bookmarks, and profile. Users can effortlessly search for job opportunities, apply filters to refine their search, save interesting job postings to their bookmarks, and easily apply for positions through the app.
In the first set of wireframes, we used smaller cards for companies on the search and bookmarks tabs. However, the client emphasized the importance of company images to showcase the work environment and attract potential job applicants. As a result, we increased the size of the cards in the second set of wireframes and allotted more space for the images.
For the second set of wireframes, I also consolidated the application section by adding two tabs under the bookmarks page to streamline the app further. This approach allows users to easily compare saved and applied workplaces on the same page, per the client's request.
